Hi, Koen
What are your thoughts on the exact time-frame covered here?
Do you count any vehicle used 1939-45, regardless of when (and where) the image is from? (Examples: WWII-era vehicles used in Third World post-'45; Swiss FT-17 in 1933; Several US and British warships were sunk on the 'first day' of hostilities--how about earlier images of them?)
Do you count the Japanese War in China from 1931? From 1937? I have added a picture of a (probably) pre-1941 Japanese Armored Car in the "Unidentified" Folder. It most likely was used in China in the 1931-41 era. My opinion is that this type of vehicle should be included here.

Alan,
good question!
Euh...it's difficult to draw a line and I always say 'the more pictures the better' ;D
I would not go to far in the post-war time except f.e. the Stug's in the Finnish army, the Panthers in the French army and such.
I would post the pre-war pictures in seperate topics.
Panzer I's f.e. have more history before '39 then after '39.
For Germany I have the idea that from '33 on I count everything as WWII equipment.
Chinese-Japanese war is indeed a good subject, maybe I should add a seperate topic for it?

Well, I'm happy with the Japanese vehicles going in the Japanese folder instead of a separate "Japan/China War" category. (That way, you don't need to worry about what theatre the vehicle is pictured in if, for example, a Japanese AFV was used in the Philippines vs. the US/Filippino armies and the Chinese.
Glad to hear 'the more the better' as I understand that French, say, and many Minor country's "WWII" vehicles were developed and used in the 1917-38 time-frame, too.
