Official US Marine Photo, 2-15, captioned: "Flame Throwing Tank Blasting Jap Strong-Point". Word on hull of AFV appears to be "Defense" (not sure why that would be on there; perhaps it's not Defense or not all of the words.) "D-11" or "13-11" appears to be on turret. US Marine with a lot of gear stands nonchalantly by watching.
